UNITY IN CHRIST: GOD’S WILL

The Will of God is always going to be, and we as Christians must believe this or we are doubting the validity of the Bible.

We hear it often, “God is still on the throne”, and while many repeat the phrase, in times of strife or in challenging times, many seem to forget. The Will of God is always going to be, and we as Christians must believe this or we are doubting the validity of the Bible. (Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. James 1:12)

I touched on this in a previous article, however with recent events, doubting the will of God is very present. God is ALWAYS on the throne, that is true with past events and most certainly with recent and future events. Some of us try to use God only to get what we want to happen. Our prayers appear to be more focused on our will or desires and not God’s will. What most of us need to realize is that God is not sitting around waiting for us to decide how events will unfold, the PLAN has always been in place. Our prayers need to focus on God’s will be done. (Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:10) I know that sounds familiar.

There is no reason for us to be sad because an outcome went the other way from our chosen view. No reason to lash out at others because they may be happy at this moment. God would never want us to inflict or wish harm on someone just because it was not my desire that they be victorious. God is victorious ALWAYS, we can and must believe that. Whether we believe that or not, it is still going to be.

We have been told to love our enemies and even pray FOR them, not pray for their demise. (But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil. Luke 6:35) I have truly been saddened to see many of my Social Media friends or contacts pray that the other side suffer confusion, misfortune and other things that may be disabling, all to produce the miracle that THEY desire. Our prayers are selfish and do not take into consideration that God may have something else in mind. We will never have UNITY IN CHRIST if we are praying for the demise of anyone. We will never have the RIGHTEOUSNESS that God desires for us if we do not have LOVE in our hearts for everyone, not just the people who believe the same as we do. We will never have the complete JOY and PEACE offered us through the Blood of Jesus if we continue to look past our own faults, and we all have them.

Healing! Healing is what we need not only in the USA but throughout the entire world, and it must start within each and every one of us. God has spoken, let us all accept the outcome and move forward to work together. United We Stand, and you know the rest.

(Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. Ephesians 5:17)
